Kolam also known as Rangoli, is a dainty floor painting, which is an integral part of South Indian tradition. It is a beautiful and perhaps the only one art, drawn every day by women in the households. It symbolizes beauty and provides a welcoming environment.

Hi, Thank you for visiting my site. I have posted Aishwarya Kolam on my Kolam site today. Please check and let me know whether you will be able to draw this kolam.
Your kolams are good and beautiful. We are having Grihapravesam of our house on dec 12 2010 , Any special kolam on the occasion. Kindly post it. thanks
Usually for special occasions, "Padi Kolams" are the best. If you are perfect in free hand kolams, you can try some of the "Neli Kolams" from my blog. Put only "Kavi" and use wet rice flour batter, so that the kolams look divine with white and kavi. If you want to try with dots, check the below links: http://kolangal.kamalascorner.com/2009/09/kolam-no207.html
Hi mam..:) your kolam's are awesome and well explained..:) I have a doubt whether we can draw these pooja kolam in front of the house? because people step in. Does that have any effect?
Thank you for visiting my blog. Except some kolams like Aishvarya kolam, Hirthaya kamalam, Navagragha Kolams, you can draw all other kolams in front of the entrance.
