Kolam also known as Rangoli, is a dainty floor painting, which is an integral part of South Indian tradition. It is a beautiful and perhaps the only one art, drawn every day by women in the households. It symbolizes beauty and provides a welcoming environment.

Hi Kamala, I have learnt some beautiful rangoli from your blog. Thanks for that. Can you please post Shiva Lingam Rangoli which can be drawn in pooja room? Thanks Swarna
Thanks for the response. I checked them. They are a bit big for my pooja room. I will try them also. If there is any traditional design exclusively to be put in pooja room, which is of moderate size :-) please post it. Thanks again. Happy Nav ratri Swarna
