17 - 9 interlaced dots (Idukku Pulli) Kolam.
Start with 17 parallel dots - 9 lines in the center. Then put interlaced dots at both sides and stop at 9. Then put 16 interlaced dots in between the 17 parallel dots as shown above.
Join dots as shown above. Draw thick lines and fill with desired colour powders.

This kolam is very tough for me! You have given the step by step pictures. Even then I am getting confused. Especially with the 16 interlaced dots in the middle!

Hi Vegavathy,
1. First put 17 dots - 9 lines (parallel dots).
2. Then start putting interlaced dots 16, 15, 14....stop at 9.
3. Finally in between the 17 parallel dots (in the center) put interlaced dots. It will come to 16 - another 8 lines will come in between.
If you print the dots, you will definitely understand it.
