Kolam No.247

First put 7 parallel dots (Neer Pulli) - 7 lines as shown in the box-1. Then put 5 dots, 3 dots, 1 dot at both the sides. At above the box put 5 dots and 3 dots and below the box, put 5 dots, 3 dots and 5 dots. Then again put 7 dots five lines as shown in the box-2. Finally leave 2 dots at both ends from the bottom and put 2 dots -2 lines as shown below. The box I marked is for guidance purpose and need not draw the box.

After putting the dots, join the dots as shown above. Since it is a "Sikku Kolam", you have to practice for joinging the dots. After joining the dots, erase the remaining dots. In the middle, instead of "Lamp", you can draw flower or any other design you like. The small lamps to be drawn by free hand curves. Instead, you can keep the real small lamps "Agal Vilakku" for Karthigai.

Oh this is awesome Kamala. Thank you so so much. Appreciate your quick and resourceful response. Appreciate it immensely. I have planned this and another rangoli pattern for the festival. Can't wait to slowly learn all the other wonderful patterns too. Once again your efforts at helping us touch base with our roots is appreciated.
