Kolam also known as Rangoli, is a dainty floor painting, which is an integral part of South Indian tradition. It is a beautiful and perhaps the only one art, drawn every day by women in the households. It symbolizes beauty and provides a welcoming environment.
Kolam No.334
Navagraha Kolam - for Bhudhan Bhagawan - drawn on Wednesdays.
I was happy to find this site and started drawing the Kolangal. It is precise and easy to follow since you have shown systematically, how to learn. I used to draw rangoli since I was nine years. But now, I am starting the day with your rangoli art in my note book! I want to mention here, that I have seen a reduction in my BP level by practsing this art. Thank you for this wonderful site.
Welcome to my site. Those days, women used to draw kolams every day and it will improve concentration and ofcourse improve health condition. It is great to note that your BP level is reduced by practicing kolam.
Excellent Kolams...Especially its nice to see navagraha kolam....Can you please help me know if these should be only put in pooja room .. or on entrance of house also..and also everyday one kolam as per days shud be fine right.
Thank you Jayashree for visiting my site. Navagraha Kolams should be put in the Puja room or in front of God"s picture. It is better to avoid putting Puja Kolams on the main entrance where people may step on the kolam.
கோலம் மிக அழகாக இருக்கிறது
